NAPA’s Shop of the Year award is the highest recognition in the NAPA Auto Care network, a network of more than 18,000 independently owned repair shops across the country. One shop wins. Bockman’s won it.

For 15 consecutive years, DeKalb County residents have voted Bockman’s the best auto repair shop in the area in the Daily Chronicle Readers’ Choice awards. Not once. Not a handful of times. Every year, for 15 years running.
Readers’ Choice awards are driven entirely by customer votes. There’s no judging panel, no application process, no fee to enter. The people who have brought their vehicles to Bockman’s keep voting us the best, year after year, because the experience keeps earning it.

NAPA Gold Certification represents a higher tier of the NAPA Auto Care program, one that recognizes shops meeting elevated standards for technician training, shop equipment, customer service processes, and overall operational quality. Not every NAPA Auto Care shop achieves Gold Certification. It requires a demonstrated commitment to excellence beyond the baseline program requirements.
Both Bockman’s locations hold NAPA Gold Certification.
AAA’s Approved Auto Repair designation is earned, not purchased. To become AAA Approved, a shop must meet AAA’s standards for facility cleanliness and safety, technician training and certification, customer service practices, and fair pricing. AAA also requires participating shops to agree to a dispute resolution process: if a customer ever has a concern about work performed at an AAA Approved shop, AAA steps in to help resolve it.
Both Bockman’s locations hold AAA Approved status.
A 4.8-star Google rating across more than 750 combined reviews is genuinely difficult to sustain. It means the overwhelming majority of customers who take the time to leave a review do so to say something positive, and that the shop is consistently delivering an experience worth talking about.
